Seniors-What to focus on? August-September
Enrollment, enlistment, employment...which are you pursuing after graduation?
Enrollment students, make final college visits and finalize application list. Some deadlines for merit scholarships are as early as November 1st. 
Take a September or October ACT, if necessary.
Meet with college admissions representatives. They will be visiting Pleasant from September-October. A google form will be sent to meet in the coming weeks.

Enlistment-take an ASVAB, if necessary. Meet with recruiter for processing and next steps.

Employment-update resumes from last year. Seek or continue employment experience. Look for employment opportunities or advancement for after graduation.


Financial Aid Resources:
For those seeking financial aid for college, the FAFSA application opens October 1st (for the class of 2024, this may be pushed back to December 1st due to the new application launch). Look at this FAFSA help sheet to assist. 
ACT has a helpful financial aid booklet for additional information about paying for college.

Scholarships under the tab will reactivated in January as updated links and applications are sent to the school.

Seniors' last day is Friday, May 17, 2024. Senior Breakfast is at 7:30am and Senior Assembly is at 9am.

Graduation practice is Friday, May 24, 2024 at 9am in the gymnasium.

Graduation is Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 10am. Location TBD.


Information-Juniors

All juniors have 2 college visits to use this school year. These days can also be used for job shadowing and military processing.

Please take the ACT at least two times this school year if you are college bound. All juniors will take a free ACT during the school day on February 25, 2025. Please take the ASVAB junior year if you are considering the military. Contact Mrs. Webb to schedule an ASVAB with a recruiter.

College admissions representatives are visiting Pleasant from September-October. An email will be sent for each visit so students can sign up to meet with a specific school.

If it is a possibility that you could play NCAA Division I or II athletics, please register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. Make sure you are meeting the academic requirements for eligibility! https://web3.ncaa.org/ecwr3/




Information-Sophomores

Tri Rivers Career Center will come to Pleasant HS to speak with all sophomores on Monday, October 14th, 2024 at 8:20am. 

Exploring Careers Day at Tri Rivers Career Center will be Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 9:15-11:30am. ALL sophomores will attend the Exploring Careers Day field trip.

Sophomores are strongly encouraged to use Job Shadowing days during their freshman year of high school. Each student gets two days out of school to job shadow in a career they are interested in pursuing.
