Graduation Requirements
Click Permanent Graduation Requirements.pdf for the Pleasant High School graduation requirements.
Additional information can be referenced on the Ohio Department of Education website. Keep in mind, these are the minimum state requirements and Pleasant Local Schools may require anything above the state minimum. https://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Ohio-s-Graduation-Requirements/Ohio%E2%80%99s-Graduation-Requirements

Students may waive the PE requirement as long as they participate in two seasons of a board approved interscholastic athletic team, cheer, marching band, or show choir.

The Class of 2026 and beyond will also require a half credit of Financial Literacy to be taught as a stand alone class. This will be offered at the freshman level opposite of the required half credit of Health.

Students will be deemed “at risk” and placed on a Success Plan if they are a) deficient in more than one academic credit at any point during high school, b) are deficient in an ELA II or Algebra I state test score (a competent score of 684 is required on both tests for graduation), and/or c) have not met the criteria for at least one diploma seal by junior year.
